School of Innovation & Technology
9 departments, 93 students
The School of Innovation and Technology aims to socially integrate technological innovations in a way that transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries within art and science. It offers an opportunity for students to learn how to critique the ways we live using design in combination with scientific knowledge, by thinking about what the capacity of designers will be to look at key changes needed now in multiple aspects of our lives.
Our diverse community is made up of designers, researchers, 3D modellers, psychologists, computer programmers, sound engineers and artists – experimenting, exploring creative opportunities and challenging traditional disciplinary perceptions of design. At our campuses both in Glasgow and the Highlands & Islands, we create unique environments for learning and cross-disciplinary collaboration that help to nurture ground-breaking design projects and research for the good of all.
