MDes Sound for the Moving Image
School of Innovation & Technology
/ 6 students
Students develop creative practice through sound design and music composition/production for moving image. The programme combines theoretical research with the practical craft of sound production within visual environments, applying this practice across film, animation, television, virtual reality, new media, electronic games and sound art. Students also explore the theoretical and historical frameworks surrounding sound for moving image, enabling them to contextualise their work. Individual and collaborative research supports original, conceptually driven and aesthetically challenging work, with students experimenting across diverse approaches to sound design and music production.
