A game developer with a deep passion for games.
Driven by this passion, I decided to explore game design and development. During my exploration, I discovered that hidden feedback loops within games significantly impact the player’s experience. As a result, I chose to study how feedback loops affect players’ engagement and motivations for games.
The video on this page provides insights into the feedback loops and an overview of the gameplay. Enjoy!
Island Survival
This is an RPG mini-game called Island Survivor, where players must find ways to survive on a deserted island for three days while awaiting rescue. In the game, I designed various elements to impact the player experience, such as real-time feedback mechanisms like small red dots that alert players when they acquire resources or complete tasks. The game also includes upgrade and progression systems, allowing players to continually enhance their abilities and experience a sense of achievement upon completing challenges.
The game was developed using Unity, with all the code written by me independently. Some of the in-game images were generated using OpenArt’s AI. Given the development cycle was under a month, there are still areas that need optimization.

The purpose of this serious game is mainly to help school children aged 8-17 understand what school bullying is and guide them to think about different solutions when encountering different school bullying.
Use mouse to click. In order to avoid players accidentally touching them, all interactive items in the game need to be double-clicked to be selected. Click the M key to switch scenes, and click the B key to open the Inventory.
The goal of the game is to collect “object evidence related to campus bullying” in the scene, understand the bullying cases that occurred in the campus scene, and finally answer the questions correctly. The correct rate of the answer affects the ending of the game.
