Making dog poop bloom! – Plantable bio poop bags
The project focuses on finding the value of dog poop as a way to inspire responsibility and change the behavior of dog owners who throw dog poop without care. After understanding the local pet ownership policy in Scotland and the behavior of local dog owners in Moray, I engaged with them through questionnaires and semi-structured Interviews and developed a suitable circular plan based on the three principles of the circular economy to reduce the environmental pollution caused by dog poop.
My output mainly utilizes products released from natural organic materials to adjust the soil balance for natural decomposition conditions. I use bio-materials to create circular poop bags and randomly place flower seeds on each bag. Showing dog owners the value of dog poop while encouraging them to take it home to plant and enjoy it.
