Rama Krishna Oguri
Rama Krishna is a dedicated Game Developer with a strong passion for Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR). He is proficient in the Unity Engine, C# scripting, and Source Control, and has additional experience with Blender and 3ds Max.
Before joining GSA, Rama worked in the VR industry, where he discovered the immense potential of VR to address real-world challenges. This experience fueled his curiosity and led him to GSA – SIT, where he explored the application of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) technology in serious games. This opportunity pushed him to expand his skills and create the projects showcased below.
Throughout his journey, Rama has gained expertise in conducting industry-standard research, developing advanced applications, and networking at professional events and conferences. He is now adept at identifying problems, designing and developing solutions using HCI technology, and implementing them effectively for targeted audiences.
Rigid XR
The primary objective of this project was to explore the significance of reactive forces, or reactions, in enhancing the Sense of Presence within Extended Reality (XR). Additionally, the project aimed to evaluate the performance of StretchSense Motion Capture gloves in comparison to an optical tracking system.
To achieve these research goals, a Mixed Reality Piano application was developed using the Unity Engine and StretchSense Motion Capture gloves.
In the application, the player interacts with a simulated piano, mirroring the experience of playing a real-world piano. The application includes three distinct scenes:
1) Virtual Environment (VE) scene
2) Real-world Environment (RE) scene
3) RE to VE transition scene
