MDes Design Innovation & Service Design School of Innovation & Technology

Yifan Kong

I’m a designer with a strong background in both product and service design. This dual expertise allows me to consider more details in my work, such as sustainability and user experience, ensuring that system services provide real benefits for businesses. I pay close attention to users’ psychological needs and plan to delve into psychology, which is quite ambitious!

I have diverse interests, including a passion for traditional culture and charity work. I also dream of exploring the world beyond the city, focusing on ecology and wild animal protection. I love the open plains, the sound of the wind as I gallop on horseback, and the feeling of dew on my clothes as I traverse the jungle. My greatest wish is to find a lifelong purpose that makes each day full of adventure and meaning—this is my life’s pursuit.

I’m currently trying to leverage my knowledge and skills to blend design with my love for nature and society. I hope to bring positive change to the world through innovation and practice. This path is challenging, but it’s an adventure I’m excited to pursue.

Say Goodbye to Iron Deficiency

Say Goodbye to Iron Deficiency

The Free Iron Program aims to address iron deficiency in low-income women due to heavy menstrual flow (HMB). By integrating educational materials into free period collection services and using community centres as convenient platforms, the project aims to improve women’s awareness and management of iron deficiency.

The service model combines iron-lack education, free testing, and iron supplement services. The project expands services and promotes broader health education through partnerships with community organizations. The Free Iron Program aims to raise awareness about women’s health and iron deficiency while also promoting social equity.
