Serious game maker and meta-universe-orientated researcher

Welcome to my graduation project, I am interested in meta-universe and want to make games meaningful to humans and the world and apply them to education through technologies such as VR and AR.

In this project, I have researched a VR-based escape room game of roundworms infecting the human immune system. The game levels are based on roundworms infecting the various organs of the human immune system. The intention is to set up five main rooms: the mouth and throat room, the small intestines (larvae) room, the blood and lymphatic system room, the lungs room, and the small intestines (adult worms) room. The game is mainly played by using the Oculus handle for grabbing action and shooting action. Learn about immunity through a fun game that is designed to teach players about the roundworms that funnily infect the human immune system.

The game was obtained from user research which showed that users were very interested in how roundworms infect the human body, how the human immune system fights off roundworm infections, how to understand the various stages of roundworm infections in the human immune system and the growth of roundworms, and how to learn about the role of the body’s immune cells in fighting off roundworms. Roundworms. These are the most interesting knowledge, so the gameplay is mainly based on these knowledge points, according to the research, most of the users would like to have a shooting game in the game, so this feature is also added. Players can get clues to move to the next level by finding and solving problems in each level.

The game was created primarily through the Unity, Meta All in one SDK, and Oculus Link platforms, and players will need to wear an Oculus Quest 3 to experience the game. After the game technology was realised, ten volunteers who initially conducted the user research were invited to test the game, and simple interviews and questionnaires were conducted. Based on the results of the questionnaires, a Likert scale was used, and the average was taken to analyse the data, which showed that the players were very satisfied with the overall experience of the game, but hoped that the difficulty of the game could be improved, and based on the results of the on-site interviews, an update was made to the game Iteration, players wanted to set more UI hints, as well as the difficulty of picking up items in the level, based on the problems, updates were made.

The project is complete with a preliminary literature review, user research, technical implementation, user testing, and update iterations. The videos and pictures on this page provide detailed descriptions of the gameplay and pictures of the project research process, so enjoy watching!

Ascaris lumbricoides- Presentation Video

This video is an introduction to my entire Masters project, and follows the entire process of my research: including the literature review, preliminary research, game design and production, and the results of the game. This is an educational game, where the player simulates step by step the activities of roundworms in the human body by solving puzzles and other forms, which will teach the player about the immune system, and I hope you will enjoy it as well!

An AR project - made by Unity

This is an AR project I made in my HCI course, the project involves Scrabble and shooting games, it simulates the spread of Chinese character culture along the ancient Silk Road in China, the ancient Silk Road in China was always attacked by bandits and robbers, so I designed a shooting level, I hope you will like it!
