Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia — a gradual decline in memory, thinking, behavior and social skills.
Alzheimer’s disease causes harmful buildup of amyloid and tau in the brain, forming plaques and tangles. This leads to brain shrinkage and a loss of essential chemicals, resulting in memory and thinking problems that make daily tasks difficult.
50M people have Alzheimer’s diseases in 2020, this figure will increase to 152M in 2050. People with Alzheimer’s in different age group, 33.3% people aged over 85 suffer from Alzheimer diseases.
People with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias are usually cared for by family members.
The majority (80%) of people with Alzheimer’s disease receiving care in their homes.
This project aims to effectively advocate for and implement floral activity programs for people with Alzheimer’s , to relieve the stress of the alzheimer’s family, ultimately improving the overall quality of life for these families.
