Though I identify as an atheist, I recognise the subtle religious influence of my grandparents, which shaped my upbringing. Traditional Chinese culture emphasises soft lines and an introspective sensibility, both of which are deeply embedded in my visual language.
My self-expression is an ongoing process of refining past and present experiences, translating them into precise, elegant forms. Influenced by shifting contexts—urban and natural, everyday and ceremonial—I reflect on how my personal style evolves through dressing itself, leading to garments that intuitively respond to multiple scenarios.
I follow the principles of one-piece cutting, which reduces fabric waste while expanding structural possibilities, allowing for adaptable, versatile garments that transcend singular ways of wearing.
