MSc Medical Visualisation & Human Anatomy School of Innovation & Technology
Yuqi Wang

Hello, my name is Yuqi Wang, and I am from Liaoning Province in northeastern China. I majored in nursing for my undergraduate degree. In my free time, I enjoy digital painting and 3D art, particularly the combination of medicine and 3D art, which is why I decided to pursue a MSc in Medical Visualization and Human Anatomy.
Over the past year, I have learned a lot of interesting knowledge, including volume visualization, 3D modeling, and Unity development. I am very much looking forward to continuing to utilize these skills in the future, particularly in the fields of medical education and public science popularization.

Dissertation Project
This dissertation project is an application that combines animation and augmented reality (AR) to introduce knowledge related to the dangers of non-fatal strangulation (NFS). NFS is a relatively hidden form of domestic violence, with most victims being women, and it is often overlooked or misdiagnosed in pre-hospital settings.
The objective of this project is to enhance the diagnostic sensitivity of healthcare professionals toward NFS-related injuries through digital medical visualization techniques, thereby enabling more accurate diagnoses in the future and providing better care for affected patients.
Interactive Visualisation – OvaLearn & The PCOS Journey
This group project was developed for the Interactive Visualisation course. OvaLearn & The PCOS Journey is an interactive educational app designed to teach users about female reproductive anatomy and raise awareness of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). The application is structured into three modules: Anatomy Learning, PCOS Science Animation, and Interactive Quiz Review.
