Nutribot uses friendly interaction and AI recognition technology to help elderly people with dementia who live alone maintain regular and safe eating habits. It addresses issues such as continuously snacking instead of meals, forgetting how to eat, lacking awareness of hunger, and suddenly leaving during a meal to wander aimlessly around the house, which leads to forgetting to continue eating. After each meal, it shares the user’s status with remote caregivers, reducing their worries and emotional burden. Compared with traditional monitoring, it also protects the privacy boundary between people with dementia and their remote caregivers.
