My Texture, My Voice

Yet, these ‘minor’ subjects are truly creative in that they are experiencing the world in ways ‘beyond’ the majority-Mould, Oli. Against Creativity

What does it feel like to navigate a world not designed for you? This project explores the lived experiences of visually impaired people, challenging a society built on seeing.

In a co-creative workshop with members of Neighbourhood Network, participants used a specially designed ‘sensory vocabulary’ of materials to translate their personal journeys into the tactile artworks. Each piece is a materialised story, accompanied by the creator’s own voice.

This work is an invitation to listen differently and to feel what is often left unseen. It is an act of design justice, giving both texture and voice to unheard narratives.
