Imprinting

My art explores the connection between personal memories and imagined futures. Strong feelings about past events make me question my own memories. Are they real, or just dreams?

Imprinting

Corndream

Living long in the city,it feels as if I’ve forgotten those childhood memories— of a farming life so different from today. A tiny figure weaving through cornfields, like a dream that never quite happened.

Corndream

Jungle

Yet when I strive to clutch those memories worn by time, I find the rock layers of recollection already riddled with cracks. There’s nothing we can do—they are stained a bloodred hue.

Jungle

Tear

We all have a stretch of gray days, where we struggle and writhe, yet overlook those once glittering fragments.

Liam

After the struggle through grayness comes a stretch of somber blue. I’ve spent a long time and much emotion trying to mend. A tattered moonboat drifts through the waves in the dead of night—where should Liam go? It’s time to say goodbye.

Shavings

We shall eventually roam freely through the jungle, where even fragmented memories will take on vibrant hues of life, and carry the courage to face loss.
