Pinky Pan

Using my own body and clothes, I create a ‘clone of me’ that moves between reality and illusion. The link between the two is an old necklace from a charity shop – a link between us and a source of inspiration for my silhouettes.
I wrapped the fabric around the necklace, letting it twist, swell, and exaggerate to create a variety of shapes. The prints on the fabric are also drawn from old charity shop garments, and through heat sublimation, different patterns are printed on the front and back, allowing the two “I’s” to co-exist, breathe, and collide on a single piece of fabric.
The border between reality and illusion is torn apart in these folds and textures, and each “I” is born in a continuous transformation.

Inspiration & Research
The inspiration for this design stems from my personal experience as a content creator in the real world, a role that has led me to constantly reflect on the projection and fragmentation of the self across public and private spaces.
Additionally, the films Dead Ringers and Peter Greenaway’s A Zed & Two Noughts sparked my imagination about the existence of “another self”: Is there another individual in this world who is parallel to me yet? This imagination provided the narrative starting point for the design, enabling me to explore the multiplicity of identity, mirror relationships, and potential self-division in the work.
Clonify Garments show
In the final presentation, each ready-to-wear outfit was paired with matching accessories, continuing the theme of “Cloned Me.” Key elements such as necklaces and ties connected different styles with distinct personalities, reinforcing the narrative and visual tension of the collection. The look presentation not only showcased the effects of fabrics, prints, and silhouettes but also reflected the layering and individuality of the overall styling, fully presenting the artistry and fashion sense of the collection.
