SALVAGE by @jjonathonwoventtextiles is a woven fashion collection translating the aesthetic of various horror movies (Suspiria 1977, Hellraiser 1987, Hellraiser II 1988, Satranic Panic 2024 and Das Cabinet de Dr Caligari 1920) and 80’s punk stars (Strawberry Switchblade and Siouxsie Sioux) through unrestricted off loom weaving.
This collection is both size and gender inclusive as well as being produced under strict Zero Waste ideals.
Collages
Within my practice I have always found collage to be the perfect medium to scrutinise different research point. As a designer this help me to blend the aesthetic of said research point to cultivate a new narrative for my own work. This manifest through conventional collage and abstract paper weaving.
Collection/Lookbook
Selection of images showing the 3 looks created for my masters collection.
All fabric is woven by hand in Glasgow and is produced from donated garments which I collected throughout 2024. Strict zero waste ideals have been used when creating each piece.
All garments are gender and size inclusive.
