Nature · Woman · Creature

My graduation project is rooted in ecofeminist thought, employing etching techniques to explore the profound connection between the female body and nature. The works intertwine plants, animals, and female figures, reflecting both the shared history of oppression endured by women and the reciprocal strength and nourishment between women and the natural world. Inspired by Ana Mendieta’s earth-body performances, Kiki Smith’s material imagery, the refined aesthetics of Chinese GongBi painting, and the documentary Queens, this series conveys resilience and vitality through delicate lines and textures.
