Ryan Lindborg is a Tongan-born, New Zealand/American photographer currently residing in Scotland. His work combines different photographic modes and styles, interwoven with personal histories, to explore and translate lived experience.
His latest project, No True Scotsman, is a pictorial interpretation of contemporary Scotland accompanied by a variety of mixed-media work, writing, and a self-published monograph.
The Big Island
In tandem with his master’s program, a monograph was developed in collaboration with New Zealand photobook publisher Photoforum NZ. The Big Island collects over a decade’s worth of black-and-white 35mm observational and street photography from the island of Hawaii.
