Suitch-shopping with a suitcase

Suitch began with a simple observation in Glasgow: some international students use their suitcases for weekly grocery shopping. A suitcase can carry a large amount of shopping, but its form is designed for travel rather than use inside a supermarket. At the same time, for many students, it may remain unused for much of the year.

Suitch explores how a suitcase could take on a second everyday role. It transforms from a normal travel suitcase into a shopping form with two open storage areas, changing how groceries are loaded, organised and moved through the shop. The project aims to make the suitcase part of the shopping process while keeping its original travel function.
