The initial idea of this project comes from my childhood memories of Studio Ghibli’s Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and Osamu Tezuka’s Metropolis. I have been interested in the Steampunk world since I was little, thus I am so excited to recreate this concept from a fashion perspective. Through the research process,  I focused on the construction development of steampunk vehicles and flying machines. Theo Jensen’s Kinetic sculptures inspired me with mechanical structures and automatic kinetics. I also added the tent construction in development to bring the idea of safety to the collection. Combined with the human body, garments are no longer just wearable things, the mixture of body, movement, and garment will turn into another life form. The whole collection gives the idea of an extended fantasy of childhood and embraces nature.
