(she/her)

Inspired by the artworks of Christo and Jeanne Claude I aim to express the relationship between emotion, body and space. I have tried to capture the thrill-seeking sensations of extreme sports and the thin line between safety and danger. Experimenting with the contrasting characteristics of rigid rope and fabrics that stretch, I have explored how materials resist and submit to tension and slack. This has resulted in a diverse range of adjustable silhouettes of different volumes and proportions which swathe and envelop the contours of the body. I have used manual ice-dying methods to colour the fabric and imitate the melting of ice as a trigger to discuss climate change.

Tension and Slack

Christo and Jeanne Claude 1997-1998

I utilized the elasticity and pulling force of the fabric to intertwine and restrain it on the human body for the development and design of silhouettes.

At the same time, I focused on the changes in the form and texture of clothing in icy and snowy environments, using hand-dyeing and edible alum to achieve sustainable fabric design.

LOOK BOOK

Inspired by the experimental art of the artist Christo and Jeanne Claude, I explore the constantly changing fabric forms in relation to human-centered spatial movements.

Christo and Jeanne Claude 1963

I found people with different body types trying on my dresses in that the dresses took on different silhouettes for different body types.
