Project statement

I am committed to promoting cultural identity and directing the fashion industry towards a more inclusive, respectful, environmentally friendly and positive place.

This project is inspired by the amplified movements of improvised and freestyle dance culture.

I interpreted the dynamic torso and arm manoeuvres by translating them into bold and simplified wearable geometric forms. I experimented also with fusing fabrics of different characteristics such as stretch to non-stretch cloths.

My manifesto throughout has been to:

UNISEX, garments for all the genders.

BREAK THE SHACKLES of traditional gender roles and promote gender equality.

PRIORITIZE AND PRCTICE sustainable design and production methods to reduce the burden on the environment.
