Digital Farewell Protocol: Ethical Decision-Making and Digital Legacy
Digital Farewell Protocol is a serious game project exploring death education, digital legacy, and digital identity after death.
In the game, players take on the role of a digital archivist working in a future data center that stores the memories and digital identities of deceased people. Through exploration, memory collection, information analysis, and puzzle solving, players gradually reconstruct the life and identity of a deceased person.
As the investigation develops, players encounter conflicting information and must reconsider what they have discovered. At the end, they face an ethical decision: should the digital identity be preserved or deleted?
The project explores how ethical decision-making in a serious game can encourage players to reflect on death, digital legacy, and the persistence of identity after death.
