Through appealing yarn choice and playful shaping, I have produced a bold and sleek age-inclusive collection. I started by photographing compositions of desirable colour and texture found in everyday situations. I then translated these photographs using yarn and card to create jigsaw-like pieces. These then informed colour, texture and silhouette.

I embrace the balance of control and spontaneity in this method, welcoming the surprises it brings. I utilized creative pattern-cutting techniques alongside origami-style knitting processes to achieve the garments. Age-inclusive considerations include yarns that are gentle on the skin, easy access designs that are flattering and adaptable, with colours that evoke comforting memories.
