I am an Environmental Design postgraduate at The Glasgow School of Art. My work explores place, culture and digital experience, with an interest in using design and emerging technologies to communicate local stories. My recent project focuses on whisky heritage in Moray, exploring the connections between landscape, community and cultural memory.
Using generative AI to visualize intangible whisky heritage
This project uses whisky as a way to explore Moray and understand the region through its landscape, history, craft and local communities. My research looked at how whisky connects with places, people and cultural stories across Moray.
The final project includes an AI conversation website, a guided digital website, an interactive whisky-making game and a printed brochure. Each part provides a different way to enter the project: users can explore local stories through conversation, discover connections between places and whisky, experience the whisky-making process, or access the project through a physical brochure.
Together, these outcomes create a connected experience that helps people discover Moray through its whisky heritage.
