Before Busy-Supporting Healthy Eating During Busy University Life

Focus: university students living independently in Glasgow
Output: A student-centred meal planning and food support service.

Many university students in Glasgow struggle to maintain healthy eating habits during busy academic periods. Time pressure, fatigue, limited budgets, and demanding daily routines often make healthy choices difficult to sustain, even when students understand their importance. Existing support mainly focuses on nutrition education, with limited attention to the everyday environments and routines that influence eating behaviours.

What if we could prepare for the busy day before it arrives?

Before Busy is a service designed to help Glasgow university students maintain healthy eating habits during demanding academic weeks. By connecting with students°Ø existing study routines, it identifies upcoming busy days and supports simple meal preparation °™ from choosing a meal and creating a shopping list to finding ingredients nearby. Rather than adding another °∞eat healthier°± task, Before Busy explores how small, timely support can help healthy habits survive busy university life.
