Eesha Dusad
Eesha Dusad is an Indian-born artist currently based in Glasgow. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Design, she brings a unique perspective to her art, blending scientific understanding with creative expression.
After completing her undergraduate studies in India, Eesha moved to Scotland to pursue formal art education at the Glasgow School of Art, where she obtained a Master of Letters (MLitt) in Fine Art Practice. This experience has deepened her exploration of the intersection between psychology and visual art, resulting in works that provoke thought and encourage meaningful discourse.
Working across multiple mediums—oil paints, acrylics, and clay—Eesha creates pieces that challenge viewers to engage with complex ideas and emotions. Over the past year, her work has delved into the intricacies of societal norms of beauty, exploring the theme of bodies and their perception, particularly as it relates to her own experiences growing up as a mid-sized person in a culture that often equates a girl’s worth with being thin. Through these explorations, Eesha aims to foster conversations that extend beyond the canvas, inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences and understanding of the world around them.
