David Collins
(he/him)
David is a painter and textile artist living and working in Glasgow, with a body of work strongly rooted in the use of found imagery and textiles. His practice seeks to validate those marginalized and discarded by society through bringing new life to discarded materials. These methods are informed by his working-class and queer identity.
Picking the Fleece
‘Picking the Fleece’ began as a discarded lilac jumper found on the street outside my studio building. I harvested the yarn and knit it to a Shetland lace pattern.
