Disaster Response Training
This study investigates how environmental visibility influences visibility and human perception in disaster response training through a serious game which developed in traditional game engine like Unreal Engine 5.
During this serious game, players should escape from a last century style office building within limited time. In this process, players will have to face many unexpected situations like lights disappear or flicker, locked doors, risk of suffocation…… To improve the immersive feelings, guidance will be layed out in the inner game, there will also many awesome visual effects in this game made by Unreal Engine 5.
The application involves dynamic and configurable lighting conditions, interactive system, evacuation game mechanism and automatic data collection. The findings indicate that dynamic lighting conditions influence people’s navigation ability, self location awareness, behavior, emotional pressure.
