I enjoy storytelling through photography, primarily in a documentary style – with a focus on capturing the power of live music and the impact of the communities surrounding it. Live music is full of stories – every fan, every gig, every moment captured. I believe they each have their own narrative and are worth showcasing. Furthermore, with a background in printmaking and textiles, I enjoy exploring these techniques alongside my photography to transcend disciplinary boundaries.

Collective Effervescence
“Collective Effervescence” is a reference to sociological term for the feeling of belonging and togetherness produced by gatherings at events such as concerts. It often involves singing in unison, chants, movement, and dance, as well as sharing emotions and feeling part of something greater than oneself.
Through placing a focus on the fan communities, my main aim is to celebrate the power of music, the beauty of the live music atmosphere and the collective experience of these events. They are a form of light and escapism, in the sometimes dark and uncertain world that we live in.
