Lost in Translation — BCI Technology
The project focuses on the biological privacy crisis and information transmission distortion issues in the context of the rapid development of brain computer interface (BCI) technology. In response to the psychological panic caused by insufficient technological transparency and exaggerated media dissemination among the public, repeated scanning and printing are used as the core methods to transform abstract BCI data transmission loss, visual noise, and information misunderstanding into concrete visual degradation. The final output of the project is posters and books, which use a four act narrative logic of “01 Introduction & Official – 02 Public Reception & Misunderstanding – 03 Degradation & Transmission – 04 Recovery & Eliminate” to visualize invisible data and privacy crises.
