Maze
Maze is an experimental publication exploring memory fragmentation through the experience of my grandfather’s Alzheimer. Photographs, handwriting and personal belongings are gradually disrupted through typography, sequencing, imagery and physical interventions in the pages. As the publication moves from clarity towards uncertainty, reading becomes increasingly unstable. Rather than simulating Alzheimer’s, the work uses this changing reading experience to reflect on memory, recognition and the traces of identity that remain when familiar connections begin to become difficult to access.
