Red Dot Notification Anxiety

by Chencan Yan

This project focuses on the issue of information anxiety in red dots, and is based on the Zeigarnik Effect as its theoretical foundation. This theory states that people will continue to pay attention to unfinished tasks, and the red dot notifications do so by creating an open loop that cannot be immediately closed, constantly occupying attention and prompting people to repeatedly check the information.   This book aims to transform this psychological mechanism of the digital interface into a visual experience that can be perceived and understood.
