I am a research-led service designer interested in how local relationships, everyday practices and service systems shape participation. My practice combines place-based research, systems thinking and visual communication to make complex challenges visible and actionable.
I work through observation, stakeholder conversations, mapping and iterative prototyping, translating evidence into service proposals that balance user value with organisational capacity. I am particularly interested in locally grounded, low-burden services that strengthen visibility and connection, while recognising the limits of design within wider structural conditions.
Sauchiehall Alliance
Sauchiehall Alliance is a research-led service proposal exploring how independent businesses on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street could strengthen customer discovery and peer connection without giving up control of their own operations.
Focused on the area between Elmbank Street and Rose Street, the project responds to reduced street-level visibility, fragmented local communication and the limited capacity of individual businesses to promote one another. The proposal combines a shared identity, local stories, peer recommendations and a lightweight Discovery Card that encourages people to discover and visit participating businesses.
Developed through place-based observation, stakeholder conversations, mapping and iterative prototyping, Sauchiehall Alliance is presented as a critically bounded service proposition rather than a complete solution to wider structural pressures. Its next step would be a live pilot with local businesses to test participation, workload and long-term value.
