  • My research explores how Environmental Storytelling and Creature Character Design can support Player Immersion in 3D serious games. My graduation project, The Last Echo, combines environmental exploration, character design and interactive storytelling to communicate the effects of environmental pollution on animals.

  • The Last Echo is a 3D narrative exploration game developed in Unity, focusing on environmental storytelling, exploration, and interaction. Players take on the role of a transformed rabbit doll exploring a forest town that is slowly recovering after humans have left. Through interacting with animals, exploring the environment, and collecting old photographs, players gradually uncover the forgotten memories and stories of the town.During development, I focused on using environmental details to support the narrative. Lighting, colour, object placement, character interaction, and collectible photographs are designed to encourage players to observe and explore rather than simply follow a linear story. The game gradually reveals the relationship between the town, its inhabitants, and the rabbit’s own memories.
