I am a Product Design Engineer with a Master’s in Product Design Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in Robotics and Automation, with a Minor in Design. My work combines engineering, human-centred design and hands-on prototyping to create practical solutions to real-world problems.
I enjoy exploring emerging challenges, technologies and opportunities, and taking ideas from early research to concept development through CAD, physical prototyping, iteration and testing. I particularly enjoy working across disciplines, bringing together engineering and design to transform ideas into thoughtful, functional and practical solutions.
ScopeAssist
ScopeAssist is a modular endoscope control attachment designed to reduce the physical strain associated with prolonged endoscopic procedures. Conventional endoscopes require repeated thumb movement to operate the angulation wheels while the clinician simultaneously grips, stabilises and rotates the scope, which can contribute to hand and wrist fatigue. ScopeAssist motorises the existing angulation controls and replaces repetitive wheel manipulation with an intuitive thumbstick interface, allowing the clinician to control tip movement while retaining the familiar endoscope, existing clinical workflow and direct control of the procedure. The project explores how a low-disruption, retrofit approach could improve ergonomics without requiring the replacement of current endoscopy systems.
