False Synchronicity, 2026, Glasgow
False Synchronicity, 2026 Glasgow investigates the socio-spatial paradox of modern urban environments: the condition where spatial proximity and visual repetition simulate connection, yet structural alienation persists. Drawing from sustained psychogeographical fieldwork in Glasgow, the project deconstructs the urban landscape that choreograph human bodies into temporary, programmatic alignment. The final outcome is a 41-page unbound artist’s book constructed with alternating opaque and transparent substrates, bound by two industrial screw posts and an axis-defining red thread. The physical act of turning pages dynamically generates and dissolves optical connections, directly translating critical spatial theory into a tactile, self-reflexive reading experience.
