Still Here

The booklet paper test, Still Here, is a typography project that begins with everyday objects from a Glasgow barbershop. I used photography to document scissors, combs, and other barber tools I encountered in different locations, translating their outlines, structures, and signs of use into letterforms. The project uses Object-to-Letterform Translation as its sole methodology, developing multiple typography systems through continuous experimentation, iteration, and variation. The work focuses on the relationship between ordinary objects, personal memories, and daily life, exploring how objects can be transformed from tools in work into a readable visual language.
