Form of Play
Form of Play: One Toy, Three Generations explores how the Shanghai tin toy frog has changed in meaning across three generations—from a childhood plaything to an object of memory, collecting and display.
Structured around three chapters—Played, Remembered and Displayed—the publication combines archival research, interviews, family memories and visual documentation. Each chapter uses a different colour to reflect the frog’s changing identity and its relationship with people over time.
