My focus on storytelling comes from my background as a primary school teacher. I enjoy exploring the possibility of educational illustration to communicate with little readers. Above all I want my illustrations to be playful and vivid and that wee fun we so often need in life.
Children’s Illustration Book: Most of the Time
Three spreads taken from my children’s picture book “Most of the Time” The book explores the theme of bullying and the ongoing impact of negative emotions on a person’s life. The story follows a mother and daughters and their encounter with an octopus and intends to make this complicated and nuanced subject accessible for children aged 5–8 years old and encourage discussion with adults.
