BY ONESELF CAN ONE BE PURIFIED
My collection is rooted in my identity as a Ukrainian-born Chinese where I’ve had to navigate the complexities of my identity as well as witness the barbarity of war. These have instilled in me a deep-seated commitment to advocating for justice, equality, human rights and peace.
Contrasting elements have always informed my work and this project juxtaposes the violence and aggression of war with the non-violence and inner peace of Buddhism.
I have created adjustable, and genderless clothes which allow the wearer to become the director of their fashion narrative.
I am committed to prioritising the use of natural fabrics and sustainable consumption and contribute to a more environmentally conscious industry.
