Kate Holford is an artist and writer currently completing the M(Litt) Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) at the Glasgow School of Art and University of Glasgow on the extended study option. Her writing and research is informed by a critical approach to curatorial strategies of presence and connection-making, within a digitised, militarised, late-capitalist world. Her current work is concerned with modes of correspondence and autoethnography, in relation to intimacy, surveillance, extraction, and absence. She has exhibited and curated collaborative art projects across the UK, and received her BA(Hons) Fine Art from Falmouth University in 2013.
Kate is Founding Art Director at Stillpoint Magazine, an open-access, interdisciplinary, international, digital publication rooted in psychoanalysis. She was previously the Deputy Director of Stillpoint Spaces London and relocated to Glasgow in 2019.
