Hongren Zhu | MArch in Architectural Studies

I am Hongren Zhu, a soon-to-be graduate from the Department of Architecture. Throughout my academic journey, I have been dedicated to exploring the interdisciplinary integration of architecture, computer science, public space regeneration, art installations, and urban development policies. I believe that architecture is not just the construction of spaces but also a manifestation of human imagination and the real world.

My graduation project, “From Social Media to Urban Imagination: The Intersection of Computer Science and Public Art,” focuses on the intersection between social media and urban imagination, exploring how computer science can merge with public art to inspire innovation in urban spaces. By combining digital technology with public art, I aim to redefine public spaces within cities, infusing them with new vitality and meaning, and achieving regeneration of localized spaces.

In the future, I plan to continue my research on the interaction between architecture and digital technology, looking forward to pushing the boundaries of innovation in this rapidly evolving field and contributing more possibilities to the future of urban design.
